Erasmus+ Programme
KA2 – Cooperation Partnerships in the Field of Higher Education

Erasmus+ Key Action 2 (KA2) is a program that funds international projects for organizations in education, training, youth, and sport to cooperate on innovation and exchange good practices. These partnerships aim to improve the quality of their work, build transnational capacity, and respond to common needs across sectors like higher education, school education, vocational training, adult education, youth, and sport.

Beneficiari

The project aims to offer a personalized training and certification pathway for professionals interested in Visual Disabilities Rehabilitation.

This initiative is designed for individuals who wish to self-assess their skills against the VDR Professional Profile and Curriculum developed in the OMERO project, identify and overcome specific skills gaps through tailored training, and ultimately achieve a certification based on micro-credentials and ECTS.

Obiettivi

The overarching goal of the project is to offer an innovative Vocational Education and Training (VET) course within Higher Education for Visual Disabilities Rehabilitators, achieved by adopting the skills-first approach to VDR training.

A second key goal is to adapt the full VDR curriculum – developed as a result of oMERO Projectin  micro-credentials delivered through Higher Education Institutions and certified by a Certification Body, aligning with the European Union’s recommendation for lifelong learning and employability and transnational recognition of competences.

In terms of delivery, the project will provide tangible results like an integrated platform to support self-assessment, tailored blended training, and certification, e-learning materials, and a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a network of Higher Education institutions for certification.
